FlowForm Specifications

Materials Include:

  • Solid cast concrete
  • Modified glass-fiber reinforced concrete

  • Polyesters roto-molded with metal dust
  • High-density polyethylene, roto-molded
Model making:
The original models are sculpted out of clay.  The sculptor observed how the water moved over the surface and continually used the water to be able to determine the exact proportions which enable the characteristic 'flow' of FlowForms to occur and to be maintained.  Such models are then made into a mold for solid casting.

Solid Casting:
Only the best granite is used to produce many of our FlowForms. This medium is poured into molds and held together with portland cement reinforced with polypropylene fibres.   The resulting material is frost resistant and very durable. The FlowForm is then carefully hand finished by experienced craftsmen who carefully expose the granite.  FlowForms are also made out of black granite from Wausau, Wisconsin and also in an attractive sandstone finish.

Roto-Moulding: Polyester resins are combined with metal dust (copper, bronze, pewter), placed in a special roto-mold and spun while being heated and mixed.  The result is a lighter, more durable, easier to handle, beautiful flowform.  The metal dust is the heaviest component, so it spins to the outside of the flowform, thus showing a beautiful metallic, smooth surface.  We only have five years experience with these materials but we know they are durable and can withstand hot sun and freeze-thaw cycles when left outside.

There are three families of FlowForms

  • Lily- water emerges from the center-then flows in circular "petals" and exits the form through three openings.  The Lily FlowForms Family includes: Pearl Lily, Dew Lily, Sprite Lily, and Celtic Lily flowforms.

  • Stream Cascades- two or more identical units flows one to the next.  They are supplied as kits and additional units may be purchased to customize an installation to it's own setting.   The Stream Cascade Family includes: Rock Stream, Boulder Stream, Mountain Stream and Valley Stream flowforms.

  • Meander Cascade- each unit has a formal development from on FlowForm element to the next in a cascade.   The Meander Cascade Family includes: Spin Meander, Pulse Meander, Light Meander, and Bright Meander flowforms.

Terms and Conditions

  • Please inquire about shipping costs, which must be custom quoted. Please add shipping costs to the prices shown.
  • All orders must be prepaid including crating and shipping charges.  We can place the order with your credit card over the phone or via the mail by check or money order (please allow 10 days for bank processing).
  • You must notify the dealer at the time of ordering if you wish the option of taking delivery at the East Troy warehouse and providing your own protective packaging and transportation.
  • Orders are typically ready within 21 days for shipping from our facility in East Troy, WI.
  • Minnesota residents add 6.5% sales tax.

 

Note: Goods are to be inspected prior to being unloaded from the delivery vehicle.  Failure to inspect goods before signing the form may result in denial of any subsequent insurance claim.

Buyers are responsible for on-site handling, including removal from delivery vehicle. Any special handling must be pre-arranged.
